Enter Shikari


Enter Shikari, hailing from St. Albans in Hertfordshire are a British metalcore band with a particularly trancecore edge. The band was formed in 2003 after Rou Reynolds, Chris Batten and Rob Rolfe had matured from their previous band Hybryd. After inviting Liam 'Rory' Clewlow to join the merry band of metalcore men, they began to focus on an altogether harder to pin down style of music. Their re-recorded 2004 track 'Ok Time for Plan B' was released later in 2006 only to sell out of all 1000 copies and their 2007 track 'Anything Can Happen in The Next Half Hour' reached 27 in the official UK chart. Their playful hardcore yet trance yet dubstep yet metal sound had fans in awe of something that the charts had never heard before, enabling their 2007 debut album 'Take To The Skies' to take to number four in the UK official album charts. After their 2009 release 'Common Dreads', Enter Shikari not only began to dominate even the farthest of shores at Australia's Soundwave festival, but had even won over those in English waters with Zane Lowe claiming their track 'Juggernauts' as the 'Hottest Track in The World' on his Radio 1 show.
