You might be wondering how much money goes to charity. The simple answer is that for every track you download, we guarantee to donate at least 50% of our net profit to your chosen charity. You will always see the donation amount clearly at checkout and on your receipt.

The actual amount in pounds and pence depends on a few things, the main one being the cost of the track; prices can vary depending on the artist’s record label and the type of track. Rest assured, we want you to feel good about your downloads so we work hard to ensure that our prices are the same as everywhere else.  

Here’s a couple of examples:

Scenario 1: Downloading one track at 79p

14p goes to the Tax Man as VAT

57p goes to the record label and music publisher

3p goes to the bank to process your payment

3p goes to your charity whatever our other costs are

Scenario 2: Downloading one album at £7.99

£1.33 goes to the Tax Man as VAT

£5.75 goes to the record label and music publisher

26p goes to the bank to process your payment

32p goes to your charity whatever our other costs are. 

Our pledge is to give 50% of our net profit to charity, but no matter how much our other costs are – and even if we make a loss – we will always guarantee a donation of at least 4% of the track price.
